It has been a minute since I updated this thing.
Last night I stayed up until well after midnight. That can only mean one thing – college basketball season has started. Duke was playing in a pre-season championship game and did not tip off until after 10pm.
I made it until the end of the game (Duke won!) – but, I sure did feel like poop today. I don’t know how I used to stay up until all hours of the night and then make it to an early class in college. Clearly, I am old and can’t hang like I used to.
Speaking of getting old – my friend Julie turned 30 the other night. She rang in her 30th year by throwing a party that included an ice luge.
I used to be able to hang with the best of them – but, these days, I have learned not to push it (especially when I know that I have to be productive the next day). I did one shot (which had a kind of profane name) and sipped on a beer for the rest of the evening.
There are a few picture of people (including myself) partaking in the festivities – but, it turns out that it is really difficult to take a flattering picture of someone ice luge’ing, so, those will remain off of the blog.
I also hung out with this guy at the party….
…I thought about sticking him in my purse. But, then I decided that robbing my friend of her wine monkey on her birthday might be in bad taste.
Alright, I am seriously about to fall asleep at my computer. I figure I will try and make it until at least 9pm before heading to bed, so, I guess it is time to go fire up the DVR.
