Could it be that the rain has finally stopped? Maybe I shouldn’t talk about it – I don’t want to jinx anything.
Today was another wash out here in the Port City.
The roads (at least the ones that I had to travel on) were not all that bad this morning. I made it into the office, to my dentist appointment and then back to work with no issues.
I started to get a little bit worried after lunch. The rain started to pour down again and my concern at getting home got the best of me around 3pm. Plus, I am not going to lie, I wanted to go watch the episode of Glee I had on the DVR.
My backyard seems to have had a little bit of trouble absorbing all this water. Taking Gracie outside this afternoon was a bit of an adventure as she refused to walk through any standing water.
But, look what I found! The sun – there it is behind those trees! I was so excited that I ran to the back door and asked Danny to bring me my camera. I was starting to forget what clear skies looked like.
They are saying that we might get a few more showers tonight, but, that the worst of this is supposedly over. And this weekend is supposed to be super nice.
The prospect of a Saturday with nice weather, seasonal temperatures and college football is really getting me ready to start my weekend. It is almost here – only one more day to go!
