On Sunday, all of Southeastern NC was suffering from a terrible drought. That ended on Monday when we had a record amount of rainfall. And the rain, it has not really stopped coming down.
I heard on the news this evening that so far we have had something crazy like 16 inches fall in the past three days. What is even crazier is that they are expecting it to get even worse later tonight and into early tomorrow. I hope that I don’t have to swim to my dentist appointment in the morning.
My parents backyard was starting to flood a little bit this afternoon. They just got a ton of landscaping work done and I hope that this does not ruin it.
I did manage to take Gracie for a walk this morning during a very brief break. I also made myself spend some quality time on the treadmill at lunch. It went much better than Monday’s workout.
Supposedly this weekend is going to be super nice. The weather people say we are finally going to have some fall-like temperatures and sunny skies. This is probably a good thing, because everyone in my house is starting to go a little stir crazy.
