I will be the first to admit that working in the family business comes with perks that most jobs would not (i.e-taking half days off to watch basketball). But, what most people do not understand, is that it also carries a lot of baggage as well. This year week in particular has been super trying on my patience.
After work today, Danny and I headed over to his parents house to sort through some of his dad’s things. I happened to run across this (which kind of sums up the week that I have been having):
There is a tack hole in the top and Danny is sure that at one point this probably hung in his dad’s cubicle at work.
We brought it home with us and it is now prominently perched amongst things in our office. I am sure that somewhere my father-in-law is looking down amused as all hell about the fact that of all his worldly possessions, this is the one that I asked Danny if we could have.
