The better part of my Wednesday and Thursday was spent travelling via car all through the Piedmont region of NC. I really don’t mind getting out of the office and going to visit customers – however, I do not enjoy spending huge chunks of time in the car. I get bored and antsy.
At least I had the new Jesse Malin cd handy to keep me amused. I really like it – hopefully he will travel somewhere nearby so that we can go see him play this summer.
When I got back yesterday, I went for a run to try and work out the kinks in my legs. I seem to have somehow cut almost a minute off of my mile time. I am still really slow – but, I guess at least I am seeing progress. Unfortunately, it is getting hot and humid down here – so, I am not sure how much longer these outdoor runs are going to last.
I left work about an hour early today with every intention of dropping Gracie off at home and then heading back out to the gym. Somewhere along the way, i got sucked into this weeks episode of Glee on the DVR and never made it to the gym. Oh well, there is always tomorrow!
Tonight was my “birthday dinner” – we had reservations at The Little Dipper for fondue. This week is restaurant week in Wilmington and The Little Dipper just happened to be running a killer special. That is why we did dinner a week late.
I love me some fondue – especially the marshmallows. So good.
It is possible that I am now suffering from (what Danny calls) food hangover. Off to the couch I go!
