Never again can I be accused of being unromantic. This Valentine’s Day I gifted my husband with the most expensive present he has ever received from me. Not to mention the most practical.
Late Sunday evening (because these things never happen at convenient times), our plumbing problems reared their ugly head again. After paying the emergency fee and getting the situation temporarily resolved, it was suggested that we have the plumbers come back and run a camera through our septic system to see if it detected anything.
Sure enough, three different sections of our system had roots growing into the pipes and we were told that we needed to replace our ENTIRE sewage system immediately unless we wanted more problems.
Being an adult totally sucks sometimes. I like spending money on fun things like vacations, sporting events and ice cream. Dropping a ton of cash on a new sewage system? Not something fun. Working plumbing is an important thing though, so, the work was scheduled for Feb. 14th – Valentine’s Day.
Lucky for Danny, I had already bought him a nifty UNCW hooded sweatshirt to commemorate the day. Otherwise, there is no telling what might have wound up in this package.

You blanked our your last name on your Facebook you posted in the blog – but left your husbands last name on there. Its a good thing I’m not a sociopath cause then I would know your last name…and what your sewer system looks like!!!
Ohhh, good catch! I will have to fix that when I get home tonight. Considering that my blog has a readership of like 3 people, it’s not a big deal – but I would rather not have all of our information floating around the WWW.
