This weekend has been filled with catching up with friends and family.
On Saturday night, our friends Stacey and Jeff hosted a “firepit party” at their house. Basically, this consisted of a bunch of us sitting around, roasting food over the fire, drinking beer and getting caught up.
It was a pretty awesome time. My clothes and hair still sort of smell like smoke, but, that’s all right.
This afternoon we headed to Topsail Beach to meet up with my dad’s side of the family, who are renting a house down there for the week. I actually did manage to drag my camera with me, but, failed to actually remove it from the camera bag. Thus, I have no pictures of the epic meal that my mom fixed for dinner – but, trust me, it was delicious.
Now we are hanging out at home getting geared up for the week. This one is going to be particularly busy because we are trying to get Danny’s mom’s house ready to rent it short term. Plus, we leave for vacation soon, and, trying to get loose ends tied up at our respective jobs is going to be a chore.
And, with that, I will end this and go spend some time watching football before bed.
