House Hunting v. 2.0

Another Saturday, another house hunting adventure.

Like the past two weekends, we headed out with the realtor on Saturday to see another round of houses.  This weekends outing was much more promising than the others.   We found two places that we really liked and today we decided to go see a house we looked at on a previous outing.  We had kind of ruled it out, but, have decided to revise our Top 3 to include it.  It is signicantly cheaper than the other places we are considering and it has a pool – which is something that I would really love to have, even though my parents keep telling me it is a horrible idea.

We have spent the better part of the entire weekend discussing the pros and cons of each place and are really nowhere near close to coming to a decision on what our next move is.  For now, we are holding off on making any kinds of offers until we:

1.) Have a firm closing date with my parents on the sale of the condo back to them

2.) Have a copy of one of the potential finalists HOA bylaws – we do not want any surprises concerning the HOA rules if we wind up moving into this particular community.

Personally, I am looking forward to getting my lazy weekends back of being able to lay on the sofa and watch college football and not worry about this anymore.  I really thought I would enjoy the whole house hunting process more than I am.  I would take watching House Hunters on HGTV any day over doing it myself.

In other news, Danny and I went for our first run together this morning.  I kind of hate running, but, i’m really trying to build my endurance a bit.  The hope is that maybe it will stop totally sucking and I will learn to enjoy it if I keep at it and it gets easier.  It would be nice if Danny and I could start running together on the weekends – it would help keep me accountable and that would definitely be a good thing.
