An Open Letter to Mother Nature

Dear Mother Nature,

While I can appreciate the fact that you hardly ever bring snow to Southeastern North Carolina, and that normally it would be most welcome in my household, do you think maybe you could go easy on us this time around?  See, here’s the thing – I have tickets tomorrow afternoon for what is arguably Duke’s biggest basketball game of the season thus far.  I don’t know if you have heard, Mother Nature, but tickets to Duke basketball games are super hard to get and I have been looking forward to this all season long.  So, really, it would be great if you could make this storm blow on past with minimal impact to my plans.

PS – If you wanted to maybe bring a “snow event” to the area at a different time, Tuesday would work really great for me as I have to go to Greensboro for work and I would absolutely love to get out of going. You would probably get tons of bonus points for this as it would gets lots of kids out of school.  I’m just saying…
