Veggie Experiment – Day 6

by Megan on January 22, 2010

I am so impressed with food bloggers who consistently can write and photograph their meals day in and out.  Seriously, I do not think that I will ever have that kind of motivation.  I nearly talked myself into settling into the sofa without writing this – but, here I am.  Only one more day to go with this challenge!

Breakfast was back to the usual oatmeal with almond butter.

I got pulled out of the office again today, which resulted in another lunch out with my dad.  Seriously, I can’t even remember the last week that I went out to lunch twice.  Not sure why it happened this week (of all weeks, but, whatever).  At any rate, we went to Bon Appetit which has really good food.  Again, I struggled with what to order as the veggie quesadilla did not really seem all that appealing and I wasn’t really in the mood for a salad.

I finally settled on a buffalo shrimp wrap – there I go again with the cheating.

lunchI gave my dad the fries and ordered a side of pasta salad.  Honestly, this totally hit the spot!  I had been so hungry for the past few days and this was exactly what the doctor ordered.

Carla and Mark called and invited us to go to Indochine for dinner.  This was actually one of the restaurants that was on my “maybe” list for visiting this week since I know they have tons of vegetarian options.  Usually when I go there, I get the chicken with basil dish – so this was a really good excuse to try something else.  I got the “drunken vegetable delight” with loads of vegetables and tofu.  It was really tasty.

dinner(This picture totally sucks – turns out the iPhone isn’t all that great in low light situations. Go figure, right?)

On the way home, Danny twisted my arm into having a frosty from Wendy’s for dessert.  I am off to enjoy that and spend some quality time on the couch.  Yay Friday!
